Alliance for Youth Service (AYS) is a nonprofit organization offering humanitarian expeditions to hundreds of youth each summer. Founded in 1999, AYS aims to provide international service opportunities to youth ages 16-19 and it is the only LDS-oriented humanitarian service group dedicated to engaging youth in both global and interpersonal betterment. In 2009, more than 200 participants from the United States and Canadal traveled to countries including Fiji, Peru and Tonga to engage in improving third-world conditions.
