Our company seeks to revive the Need2Read in children and adolescents in an effort to promote a healthy view of the importance of literacy, creativity, and imagination. We seek to aid in the academic and future professional success of our children by encouraging reading as a means to acquire developmentally appropriate social, emotional, cognitive, and language skills. We offer multiple programs to achieve our mission which can be experienced through our weekly literacy program to homeless youth staying in a local shelter, a 3-month 7th grade service-learning project called Project7, the donation of books to local schools and businesses through our Need2Share program, and through our "Exit Library" program where reading nooks are donated and assembled in the new homes of recently homeless families so that the youth are able to take a piece of our program home with them.
