The expansion of Rolls Royce’s production into Asia is a 20+20 years in planning that began in 2004, with the growth of book order from Asia rising from 3,000 engines in 2004 doubling to 7,500 engines in 2017 (to deliver in 2024). Today, Southeast Asia is Rolls-Royce’s No. 1 market followed by (2) North Asia (3) Middle East (4) China; the £79.8 B order book triggered RR to open another factory and the location was picked as Singapore. Singapore Airlines being one of the biggest single-order clients for Rolls Royce.
