London Skills & Development Network (LSDN) is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise, we provide adult education and community learning across London and surrounding areas. As well as managing and delivering a diverse range of education and training programmes and courses, LSDN also offers a range of consultancy and capacity building support services to the education and training sector. LSDN is graded ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED. As part of its remit, LSDN founded and now manages Skills & Development Alliance, a consortium of highly experienced and successful education and training providers who deliver a range of adult education and training in some of the most disadvantaged communities in and around London. In addition to Skills & Development Alliance, LSDN also runs Apprenticeships in Action an Agency which recruits and supplies Apprentices and provides end to end Apprenticeship training and support service; Railway Training Network an education and training project for future rail engineers and transport workers, and Career Development Network which provides Advanced and Higher level professional and academic programmes for existing and aspiring professionals, managers and those who wish to progress to university or other forms of Higher Education. Funding LSDN currently delivers the following provision and programmes: 1. Apprenticeships 2. Adult Education Budget (FE) 3. Advanced Learner Loans 4. Employer-based and commercial courses Working in partnership LSDN is positive about collaborative working and actively seeks to work in partnership with other agencies and providers to enhance the services it can offer to its students and clients. Some of our long-standing partners include: Local authorities Jobcentre Plus Housing Associations Schools and family centres Probation service Faith groups Community service providers (e.g. youth services, drug and alcohol services, schools, NHS etc).
