JONAA, Journal of the North Atlantic & Arctic
www.jonaa.orgThere is much at stake in the North Atlantic & Arctic region. For us living here; for those already connected or wanting to be connected to the region's emerging opportunities; for those needing to react to climate change effects on the region and on the world. JONAA's editorial part, was launched with the Nordic Council of Ministers among founding sponsors, at the Arctic Circle Assembly late 2017. It is in a soft launch phase until August 2018 and by the end of this year the three channels that make the bases of this media will be up. JONAA Editorial, JONAA Monitoring and JONAA Productions. JONAA covers a region sharing high North Atlantic shores, small countries and communities with much in common, shared history and future challenges. A 9 country non-conflict zone of abundant natural resources of energy and minerals and some of the world’s riches fishing grounds. Communities sharing generally good standards of living and democratic governance. Focusing on this region JONAA is set up to be a powerful multimedia tool for regional and global stakeholders needing to know and understand the commercial, industrial, social, political, cultural, economical, scientific and ecological landscape of our JONAA defined region. And for local stakeholders, communities, countries, businesses and people of the North Atlantic to communicate, cooperate and join hands in seeking a sustainable future for the region through detailed, localized information, accurate news, trusted data, analysis and transparent opinion – enhanced with descriptive, original imagery. JONAA's editorial team is based throughout this area. Journalists, photojournalists, specialized writers in business, policy, science, culture and travel, with inside access, local understanding and first hand knowledge of the local “why, who, how, where and when.” And JONAA's advisory board consists of experienced individuals with deep insight of diverse issues important to the region who share the JONAA vision.
