Since 1985, the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation has been dedicated to the retention, development, and attraction of quality jobs in Bloomington and Monroe County, Indiana. As the leading economic development organization in these communities, we are focused on increasing opportunities through advancement of economic development strategy, fostering of entrepreneurial activity, and active business retention, expansion, and attraction efforts. The BEDC is funded through memberships and grants from private industry, the City of Bloomington, the Town of Ellettsville, Monroe County, Indiana University, and Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington.
