Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA)
www.ffta.orgThe Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) (formerly the Foster Family-based Treatment Association) was established in 1988 to develop, promote and support treatment foster care. Over time, FFTA has expanded its mission to focus on strengthening agencies that provide family focused treatment services, whether those services are provided in treatment foster care, kinship, adoptive or biological families. FFTA is the leading advocate for the development, evaluation, recognition, and funding of family-based treatment services for children and youth with emotional, behavioral, developmental, or medical needs. FFTA’s membership of nearly 500 agencies provides an array of child welfare and mental health services to over 500,000 vulnerable children and youth each year, in nearly every state and Canadian province, and in Puerto Rico and Bermuda. FFTA develops and promotes program standards for treatment family care; provides cutting edge resources, technical assistance and professional development opportunities; encourages research and evaluation; supports grassroots advocacy; and inspires the development of innovative practices.
