Previously operating as Skybeam, the company was envisioned and created by a team of dedicated hospitality professionals in 2004. During this time, Skybeam operated two properties in the state of Maharashtra, one in Mumbai and the other in Nashik. The company was involved in both these properties right from its project days and was instrumental in setting up the projects and then managing them operationally. The properties managed by Skybeam were: 2004 to 2013: Express Inn Mumbai, a 30 rooms hotel with 5 restaurants and 3 banqueting venues. 2010 to 2013: Express Inn Nashik, a 200 rooms luxury hotel with 3 restaurants and 8 banqueting venues. Skybeam then forayed into its own brand of Hotels business and established Meritas Hotels in 2014. Meritas, with a view to establish itself as a brand, seeks to fulfill a larger role by enlarging its presence and establishing value Hotels providing incomparable hospitality at great holiday destinations. With its focused vision in providing quality sustainable hospitality, Meritas has benchmarked its service on two common legacies – Warmth and Value addition.
