The University Honors Program at Northern Illinois University provides an enriched and intentional educational experience for students of high intellectual potential who are committed to find and pursue their passion. Our philosophy and approach to learning follows a 50 year tradition of excellence and community. We are a member institution of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) and the Honors Council of the Illinois Region (HCIR). We welcome undergraduate students from all academic disciplines. In fact, students from every college and undergraduate major are represented in the University Honors Program.
