The company was officially incorporated as ThirdWell Commodities Limited on May 21, 2021. As at that date, the company had 30 ThirdWell Purchasing Agent (TPAs) in 22 Communities and 733 ThirdWell Akuafo Network members cultivating a total of 10,956 acres of Cashew, Maize, Yam, Cassava, Pepper, Beans and Groundnuts. In May 2021, the company initiated the ThirdWell Soya Bean Project. The objective of the project is to introduce soya bean cultivation in the Tain and Wenchi districts of the Bono and Bono East Regions respectively. As at July 31, 2021, over 250 farmers had planted over 400 Acres under the project; inclusive of 10 Acres directly cultivated by ThirdWell. Minimum yield of 200MT is expected from the project. The introduction of soya bean cultivation marks a major milestone in the operations of ThirdWell Commodities as it lends much credence to the company’s strategic objective of improving farming incomes and promoting sustainable livelihoods for farming households. Per our current operating infrastructure, ThirdWell Commodities has the capacity to effortlessly supply 1,000MT of Raw Cashew Nuts, Soya Beans and Maize respectively. ThirdWell’s current operations, especially the ThirdWell Akuafo Network, are laying the foundation for achieving our vision ’to be the leading indigenous Ghanaian agricultural conglomerate delivering socio-economic transformation of communities through ethical business operations and sustainable social impact programs
