Construction Trades Workforce Initiative (CTWI) aims to: --Create greater opportunities for communities that are currently underrepresented in the trades - like women, people of color, youth and the formerly incarcerated - to enter and succeed in the industry --Ensure that more construction projects are built by union labor --Connect contractors to a well-trained, qualified and safe labor pool As the nonprofit partner of the Building Trades of Alameda, Contra Costa and Napa-Solano Counties, CTWI works to ensure the long-term sustainability of the construction industry by bridging the gap between union construction labor and key stakeholders like job seekers, training providers, contractors & developers, public agencies & municipalities and community partners. CTWI offers: --Employment connections to help you or your client navigate the wide range of employment opportunities in union construction --Customized technical assistance on topics ranging from improving job placement & specialized training to understanding workforce agreements & union master labor agreements to recruiting a qualified & diverse workforce to meet your needs --Policy guidance to create and enforce workforce & labor development policies that ensure all community members have access to high-road, family-sustaining careers in the union construction trades We are always interested in connecting with new people motivated by our mission.
