Tata Steel Long Products (TSLP) is in the business of manufacturing high-alloy, value-added steel for diverse industrial use, including automotive, construction and infrastructure, general engineering, railways and agriculture segments. With an annual capacity of one million tonne, TSLP is one of the largest specialty steel manufacturers in the Special Bar Quality segment and among India’s largest merchant sponge iron producers. The company also has a capacity of 1 MTPA of sponge iron and 160 MW of power generation. To build capacity and synergize with Tata Steel, TSLP has acquired Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) which provides the company an additional steelmaking capacity of 1.1 million tonnes per annum of long-steel, 100 million tonnes of iron ore reserves and 2,500 acres of land.
