Sasana International School is a pioneering initiative in Waldorf Education in Malaysia, the first international school offering both IGCSE and a Waldorf curriculum. We aim to realize the full potential of Waldorf Education through the provision of a rich, structured, and localized Waldorf curriculum which aligns with child development, ensuring that content and teaching approach are age-appropriate. We offer a comprehensive learning programme from junior school to senior High School. Our diverse curriculum offers a mix of hands-on, creative and academic experiences and provides students with plentiful opportunities to discover and develop learning capacities and skills that are useful for life. We place a good deal of emphasis on our students’ positive engagement and participation in their class learning community and within the wider school community. We provide an environment in which to awaken, nourish and activate in our students, fundamental capacities for life-long learning. Waldorf graduates aspire to know about and succeed in a diversity of professions and to make a meaningful contribution to society. Through provision of in-depth, academic, artistic and practical learning experiences across the curriculum, students develop a lively interest in the world, a well-developed capacity for critical thinking and sound moral judgement. Through purposeful use of assessment information focused on students’ next learning steps, we aim to provide an environment of academic certainty in which students are well supported to access qualifications pathways to higher learning or chosen vocational training.
