“Shirakatsy Lyceum” international scientific-educational complex provides K12 education corresponding to international standards. It is the only educational institution in Armenia that is both an IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) world school and a member of Round Square (a network of international schools). Shirakatsy Lyceum was established in 1990 with an aim to discover talented students and provide high-quality education meeting their needs. To achieve its mission and "to develop future leaders, intellectuals, and citizens respecting national and global human values," the Lyceum, besides implementing an exclusive academic program based on the elements of the national curriculum, also started implementing the rigorous International Baccalaureate programmes. Shirakatsy Lyceum became the first school and, so far, the only one in Armenia which since 2014 is offering three IB programs, namely: PYP, MYP, and DP in a single educational institution. By offering the three IB programs, which are philosophically aligned and contribute to the development of the IB learner profile, Shirakatsy Lyceum provides students a unique opportunity to explore their potential and create a better world.
