Montage Theatre Arts (MTA) is a performing arts charity based in Lewisham, South East London. We run classes, workshops, performances and events for adults and children of all ages! Our training benefits the individual, the group and the community. Whether you’re an enthusiastic amateur or want to be a professional performer, our carefully planned programme of classes with the emphasis on both fun and technique, gives you the chance to express yourself through drama, dance and singing. Offering both concessionary and bursary places, MTA provide affordable and high quality artistic opportunities to our local community; promoting access to the arts for all. We help our students grow in confidence, find their creative voice and experience the transformative power of the arts! All of our teachers are West End and/or industry professionals – so they know their stuff! You’ll even have the chance to perform – whether it’s at our end of term performances, whole-school musical theatre shows, community events or further afield. Montage students have performed everywhere – from Lewisham Peoples’ Day to Saddlers Wells. Our Work with Young People: MTA provide a safe environment, away from external pressures, where children and young people can grow independently. We create a legacy of confidence and self-worth within the children we work with. Our training benefits the individual. We get to know our students and know how to progress their skills and talents, making each student the very best they can be. Our Work with Older People: Why should the kids have all the fun? Our adult courses encourage self-expression and for many it is a way to re-connect to long forgotten interests. We also regularly stage community projects with older people which combat social isolation and health issues through finding joy in the creative arts.
