HEMLATA
www.hemlata.chHEMLATA’s vision is to create opportunities and shape the future for young women to lead lives of dignity and purpose. HEMLATA’s 100 Impact Academy works on the 5 pillars of a college scholarship, Mentorship, Life-skills,Learning and Development and training for the workplace. By enabling access to quality tertiary college/university education in India, we are creating an environment for our H100 Scholars to step out of their cycle of intergenerational poverty and building an empowered workforce. By means of the holistic HEMLATA 100 Impact Academy, we empower our H100 Scholars with need-based scholarships, until graduation. Each Scholar is supported by a Mentor living outside of India to bring in different perspectives and given Life-Skills training. Interdisciplinary learning and training for employment round off the program. The HEMLATA 100 Impact Academy is based on a model of sustainability with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals of 2030 - SDG#4 / Quality Education and SDG#5 / Gender Equality. HEMLATA is a neutral and independent organisation working to create impact within the social-cultural context of the Indian environment. It is registered in India and in Switzerland as a tax-deductible non-profit. Donations made to HEMLATA Switzerland are tax-deductible under Swiss law. All donations made to HEMLATA India are tax deductible under Indian law.
