The Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) is a bottom-up initiative supported and endorsed by the University of Amsterdam, furthering the cause of sustainability. Launched in 2015, it serves as a platform to exchange knowledge and experience on contemporary sustainability challenges, both local and global. Through the events and other initiatives, we aim to create a lively sustainability community within and outside of the university. Together, we contribute to the decade of action by continuously addressing the urgent environmental issues of this time and attending to problems of poverty, inequality and human indignity.
