Excellence Shock Wave Therapy is the most experienced ESWT group in the nation having performed thousands of ESWT treatments since 1999. Excellence Shock Wave Therapy is a provider of the Dornier EPOS Ultra ESWT machine and a Dornier Center of Excellence providing training to physicians we refer to as our members. Excellence also serves as a pre-certification and insurance authorization service for ESWT physician members. Excellence Shock Wave Therapy functions as an equipment provider to our physician members. We deliver the Dornier Epos Ultra equipment for treatment directly in the physician’s office. High Energy ESWT is indicated in patients who suffer chronic painful fasciitis or tendonitis for a period longer than six months and after three unsuccessful conservative treatments. • The Dornier EPOS Ultra ESWT treatment is a high energy treatment. • Excellence Shock Wave Therapy uses the treatment protocol proven successful in the US FDA trials. • The Dornier allows our physician’s to use inline ultrasound to view, target, and treat the specific area of damage. This allows for precise pinpoint treatment application. • Participants in the FDA study for plantar fasciitis were evaluated one year after treatment and the results were an average reduction in pain of 92% with one treatment. 94% of the study participants rated their treatment as good/excellent at the one year point. (This data reflects the results of patients treated in the study one year after receiving one treatment with the Dornier Epos Ultra machine.) • High energy ESWT requires one treatment for effectiveness in most cases. The one year follow up Roles Maudsley results for the Dornier EPOS Ultra showed a 94% success rate with a single treatment. A second treatment may be needed to speed healing for a minority of patients within the first six months. A retreat is suggested if the patient has little to no pain relief after 16 weeks.
