A world class education, research and development center established in 1977, as the Ocean Engineering Centre (OEC), with the objective of creating multi-faceted engineers who are well equipped to meet and exceed the demands of the rapidly growing ship and offshore industry. We develop education and training programs in the field of Ocean Engineering, create infrastructure and expertise for R&D in Ocean Engineering and related fields, with direct relevance in the national context and support creation of educational and research opportunities at all academic levels. The admission procedure for the various programmes ensures that the best of students make it to the campus. The admission to various programmes is carried out through the following highly competitive national level examinations.
