The Mosquito Story Slam is a series of live storytelling events currently in its 7th year on the Outer Cape. The Mosquito has presented hundreds of stories to thousands of audience members at sold-out events. These “slams” invite the audience to directly participate by telling short, personal stories to a live audience. The Mosquito’s mission is to celebrate and honor the diversity and commonality of human experiences through the art and craft of oral storytelling – specifically those whose lives and histories belong to the Outer Cape of Massachusetts. The Mosquito offers year-round Live Storytelling workshops for novice and experienced storytellers, as well as corporate leaders. By engaging our local communities and visitors in the act of personal storytelling through accessible year-round programming, we aim to fill a gap in live, unmediated experiences that offer meaning and cultivate community.
