Development Foundation of Turkey (DFT) supports the rural population who has limited resources. Development Foundation of Turkey was incorporated at January, 10th, 1969 with the aim of support to increase the life quality of rural population. In this context, regarding defined rational systems, it applies many economic-social and technological programs. In the objective part of the Statutes, "...In addition to the works that aim at improving the economic development and economic structure of the society, to improve the social structure..." is defined as a main goal. Our Rural Development Approach The Site Selection in Development The priority in site selection is given to the disaster regions, areas and groups without enough income. Working Model Integrated approach forms the basis for the rural development activities of DFT. All functions like input supply, production and marketing are taken into consideration. It is a significant premise that the increase on the income of the producers is based on that integration. The Organic Unity of the Areas Being aware of the fact that the interaction of the economic and social areas in development, economic and social development are targeted together. Our Perspective regarding Women and Youth The development of women and youth population is considered as the main aim of the development which the instrumental descriptions are based on. Especially the economic descriptions regarding women, our main approach is to make her property owner. The Sustainability of the Target Group In order to have sustainable development, while the DFT is the mediator, the target group is the main actor.
