Since 1974, the Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS) has been the only organization in the Houston area with a mission to improve the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson’s disease (PD) through services, education and advocacy by providing comprehensive specialized patient support free of charge. HAPS accomplishes its mission through three major program categories: (1) support services, (2) education, and (3) therapeutic exercise for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, and their family members or caregivers.
