We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization facilitating the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices for recycling and waste reduction programs among institutions of higher learning. CURC represents a vibrant community of over 900 recycling and sustainability professionals in higher education led by a Board of Directors made up of recycling, zero waste and sustainability managers in North America. Our organization’s roots date back to the 1990’s when we were originally formed as a technical council within the National Recycling Coalition. In 2009, CURC branched out as an independent 501(c)3 organization. CURC members play a vital role in exchanging knowledge among campus recycling and sustainability leaders and coordinators.
