Founded in 1954, St. Monica has grown to over 16,000 parishioners attending seven weekend Masses. The people of St. Monica take pride in their reputation for extending a warm and friendly welcome to all people. Natives of six continents and dozens of nations call St. Monica their church home. The parish boasts a proud heritage of Catholic Education; St. Monica School maintains an enrollment of over 800 students in grades K-8 and the religious education programs educate over 600 students each year. The parish also provides countless educational opportunities for adults. St. Monica is committed to helping those in need, supporting numerous social outreach programs both within the parish and in the greater Dallas community. 2014 marks an important historical milestone with the completion of a major church building renovation and the installation of the new Nichols and Simpson pipe organ. One goal of the renovation project was to expand the technological capabilities in the church building. St. Monica is now able to employ media technology for many liturgical celebrations and maintains an active presence on numerous social media. In the coming year, an app will be launched that will provide constantly updated parish information to the electronic devices of parishioners.
