Mothers Day Classic Foundation

The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Our aim is to deliver a fun, healthy and inspirational community event that brings the community together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer. Since its inception in 1998, more than 1.5 million participants have raised $41.45 million for breast cancer research. The event is now one of Australia's largest national charity events and has become an integral part of Mother's Day for thousands of Australians. The event was established in 1998 by Women in Super, a national network of women who work in the superannuation and finance industries. Women in Super’s support of the nationwide event is demonstrated through a strong employee and volunteer engagement program facilitated throughout their networks. Proceeds of the event go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s research programs into detection, treatment and care. The majority of people who organise the MDC each year are volunteers. You too can get involved by registering to walk, run or volunteer in all capital cities and various regional centres across Australia. OUR MISSION - to deliver an inspirational community event that celebrates those touched by breast cancer and raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research. OUR GOALS • Raise funds for breast cancer research • To increase awareness of breast cancer within the community • To celebrate the lives of people who have been touched by breast cancer • Create a fun, healthy and inspiring event that the community can enjoy together on Mother’s Day
