Over the past decade, European Lettering Institute has developed an educational programme in calligraphy, letter drawing and letter carving. We welcome everybody wishing to learn more about the written letterform or improve their skills in a specific lettering related subject whether it be in a manual or digital way. Every year, ELI organizes a series of short courses or workshops and ends the academic year with our annual summer school. It is a great way to discover the magic of calligraphy and lettering in general. For those looking for a longer and more in-depth training programme, we offer a 3-year foundation course, a 2-year postgraduate or a 1-year specialization course in calligraphy, hand drawn/digital logo- and lettering design. European Lettering Institute combines professional teaching with real design projects in a contemporary face-to-face learning environment. Students are challenged to handle lettering and graphic issues in a personal and creative way.
