ESN Bocconi Milano is the local section of the biggest European student association: Erasmus Student Network. ESN's mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of "Students Helping Students". Erasmus Student Network was born in 1989, two years after the creation of the Erasmus project. The first six Italian sections originated the network of ESN Italia in 1992 and ESN Bocconi Milano was founded in 2009, thanks to four students who had just come back from a study-abroad experience.
