Society of Petroleum Engineers is a non-profit professional organization whose mission is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit, and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. SPE Italian Section was established in 1986 and currently counts more than 400 members, 130 of which are young professionals, plus another 100 of the Student Chapter.
