The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) Balangir has been set up with joint assistance from the Govt. of Odisha and Govt. of India with a view to training and developing skilled manpower for the dynamic Hotel Tourism Industry. Started in the year 2004, the Institute is currently offering four different demand-driven courses in core hospitality operations. The SIHM currently operates from a beautiful building in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Balangir town on the Balangir – Titlagarh state highway. Keeping in view the advancements in the ever evolving hospitality industry, the Institute has been equipped with modern labs to effectively train prospective students in the various aspects of Hotel Operations. The Institute also provides hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. A team of qualified faculty members promises to ensure that a student not only learns the intricacies of hotel operations but is also offered a career through a proactive placement cell.
