NCHCW works directly with youth subject matter experts to find and eliminate the gaps between systems through which children, youth, and families needlessly fall into homelessness and human trafficking. Public resources must be predictable, synchronized, flexible, and offered to folks regardless of whether they live in a place with lots of people in need or just one. NCHCW also seeks to help households build wealth by making sure that everyone is aware of HUD's Family Self-Sufficiency Program. If people are going to build wealth we can never, ever penalize them for working or increasing their assets. American social policy must adjust to this reality.
