The Dutch American Police Department Foundation is a group of enthusiastic volunteers, whose goal is to let children (and sometimes adults) who are obstructed in their life because they suffer from a chronic physical, mental and / or terminal illness, experience a positive break from their every day battle. We do this by supporting and lustering rides and events for this target group with replicas of original U.S. police vehicles and other special vehicles. To make the experience as realistic as possible we use vehicles that resemble police vehicles in the U.S. and during these events we dress in the original clothing that is used by the policeservice of the particular vehicle. What exactly does the Dutch American Police Department ? Our main objective is, as stated before, providing the most beautiful and best possible positive experience for children (and sometimes adults) who have a very difficult and stressful time because of medical or psychological reasons. We have various ways to establish this, where multiple options can be combined. Here are some of these options: - Escorting for example Truck Runs and motorcycle sidecar rides. - Attendance at events for the target group, where the vehicles can be viewed and the children can sit in them. - Re-enactment of police actions by the U.S. police at events for the target group (this is explicitly not taking place on public roads!). - Transportation of persons from the target group as part of a special wish. This is demanded by Wish foundations and only if the medical condition allows it. In addition we do our utmost best to fullfill special requests where possible. We expressly state that we do not cooperate with demands or requests which can compromise public order and security . It is our aim to have a good relationship with the Dutch Police and other rescue agencies, based on the great respect we have for their tasks and duties.
