We also endeavor to see patients within 24 hours, and urgent and non-urgent surgery can often be scheduled within 24 hours of the consultation. Dr. David Albin has performed over 12,000 hernia surgeries in his career, and he developed an advanced mesh-free hernia repair method known as the “Albin Technique.” This system helps to reduce complications, shorten downtime, and minimize the risk of re-injury. As a hernia specialist, he has been able to refine his surgical technique in a way generalists often cannot. Dr. Michael Albin joined his father at The Hernia Center of Southern California in 2014. He has extensive training in laparoscopic surgery and utilizes the state-of-the-art da Vinci® surgical system to perform robotic hernia repair.
