Sparks Within Reach is a volunteer-powered nonprofit bringing free one-on-one academic support to students living in homeless shelters, temporary housing, motels, group homes, and on the streets of New York City. Our network matches remote and in-person volunteer instructors with K-12 children experiencing homelessness in NYC, a population of over 114,000 students that is currently underserved by supplementary educational organizations.
