The Power of Nutrition is an innovative financing platform that partners with corporates, philanthropists and foundations to raise new money for maternal and child nutrition in Africa and Asia. Committed to unlocking new financing for nutrition, we take a business-like approach to working with a diverse set of organisations to improve children’s nutrition on a large scale. Since we were set up in 2015, through our unique model, The Power of Nutrition has been able to invest over $534 million in 18 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia where there is an urgent need to improve nutrition. Because of these investments, we've helped nutrition interventions reach over 68 million mothers and children. Impact is a priority, so we guarantee that new investors’ contributions are multiplied by four times through pre-negotiated agreements - an unprecedented level of co-financing in the international development space. Our carefully selected portfolio consists of programmes with the potential to deliver impact at scale. Each of our investments supports a core set of interventions that have been proven to improve child and maternal nutrition outcomes in hotspots – countries with the highest rates of undernutrition. We use the significant experience and expertise of our implementing partners to disburse funding to approved programmes, avoiding duplication.
