INTSIKA (The Pillar) is non profit organization that is based in Cape Town South Africa. The organization serves disadvantaged suburban Secondary and Primary Schools with Literature, Science and Mathematics. This is done through peer to peer mentoring, career guidance and a cutting edge computer literacy and access to diverse information, experiences and opportunities. Through the organization, schools have witnessed learners significantly improve their grades and access education and/or employment after they matriculate. Many learners become volunteers once they get into university, ensuring a virtuous cycle of positive role models, supportive hands-up and an effective by-youth, for-youth solution to South Africa's education crisis.
