Espacios Abiertos (EA) was created in 2014 in order to increase democratic practice in Puerto Rico by influencing key stakeholders in order to achieve progressive change. EA has created tools, mechanisms, relationships, and campaigns that increase general knowledge of legal, economic and government accountability issues. We aim to incentivize civil society to participate, influence and change practices and policies in order to improve democracy, justice, and equity in Puerto Rico.
