The purpose of the Red Wing Downtown Main Street program is to improve the community’s quality of life by strengthening the downtown as the center of the community through education, volunteer support, and concentrated efforts in design and preservation, promotion, business development, and organization. We will transform our downtown when we connect to the community in meaningful ways that encourage their love and support of our downtown, when we support existing businesses and recruit new businesses, when we will build a pipeline of entrepreneurs and business owners ready to fill vacant spaces, and when create high-quality housing options in our second and third-story buildings.
