Truly*Adventurous is a digital magazine built with reckless faith in the power of true storytelling. Think of us as a storytelling laboratory. We commission original works from some of the world’s best nonfiction writers working today and distribute them here on our website and in partnership with publishing partners. What kinds of stories? Unlike most magazines, we have no topical mandates and couldn’t care less about chasing the news cycle. We tell incredible true stories. That’s it. We work with a diverse array of longform writers including Pulitzer winners and nominees, award-winning magazine writers, and up-and-coming journalists to create one-of-a-kind storytelling for readers. We publish true-crime stories and real-life mysteries—subjects we love—as well as stories about wild adventures, clashing cultures, and unsung heroes. Our stories are often shared by the most respected curators of journalism and storytelling—Longform, Longreads, Sunday Longread, Pocket Discover, and others. Our stories have been included in anthologies including The Best American Sportswriting, among others. And many of our pieces have second lives in spaces like film & TV, theater, animation, etc. Here’s some press.
