The Humane Society of Central Texas (HSCTX) is an advocate for the community goal of maintaining No Kill Status at the Waco Animal Shelter, which means that at least 90% of animals that enter the shelter leave here alive. The shelter achieved No-Kill Status in 2019, and our doors remain open to every animal who needs us, making community support extremely important. We are contracted by the the City of Waco to provide foster, adoption, and rescue outcomes to homeless animals at the Waco Animal Shelter at 2032 Circle Road in Waco, Texas, as well as community education regarding responsible pet ownership. The Waco Animal Shelter is an open-admission, regional facility serving the cities of Bellmead, Beverly Hills, Hewitt, Lacy-Lakeview, Lorena, Marlin, Mart, McGregor, Moody, Riesel, Robinson, Waco, West and Woodway, which are home to about 260,000 people. HSCTX is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operated solely on grants and donations from the community. It is only with your support that we are able to help animals in need.
