At the BYU College of Nursing, our goal is to learn and perfect "the healer's art". We provide learning experiences and networking opportunities for close to 400 graduate and undergraduate students, as well as more than 6,000 alumni across the globe. As a college, we pride ourselves on providing our students with the best learning experience possible. Our Undergrad and Graduate programs rank in the Top 100 Best Nursing programs in America (US News and World Report and our undergraduate program ranks #1 in terms of best value (Best College Values). In 2017, we ranked #3 out of the 50 Most Progressive Nursing Schools in the Country (Nursing School Hub). Thanks to generous donations by the Fritz B. Burns Foundation, the College of Nursing boasts one of the most advanced facilities on BYU campus; the Mary Jane Rawlinson Geertsen Nursing Learning Center (NLC). The NLC provides students with access to state-of-the art equipment and real-life simulations to help them better prepare for clinical work; whether they work in the ER of a hospital, a refugee camp, or a retirement home. As a college, we are also committed to making a difference in our global community. In partnership with the BYU Global and Public Health program, BYU College of Nursing students have participated in health education and humanitarian work in Ghana, Tonga, Ecuador, India, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, and locations across the US. We hope that these experiences will help our students not only be better nurses in their immediate community, but wherever their life may take them.
