Cepstrum is the students’ society of the Department of EEE, IIT Guwahati. Our aim is to provide a lending hand in the development of future engineers and entrepreneurs. The core team of Cepstrum strives to provide ECE and EEE undergrads with exposure to world-class research ventures through various activities such as workshops, talks and mentorship programmes. Every registered student of the EEE department of IIT Guwahati is a default member of Cepstrum - and they would soon realize this privilege during their stay on campus! Some of our initiatives are - InPhase: Launched in the fall of 2007, our annual departmental magazine brings the readers ‘In Phase’ with the latest developments in the field of electronics! InPlace: Placements and internships are critical periods of one's college life, and often students find themselves lost in this uncharted territory. Our blog series ‘In-Place’ (yes, we’re big on puns), guides students through this process by connecting them with seniors who have been through, and successfully conquered, this terrain. Minor and Intern Talks: We organize talks on minor selection and intern preparations for the sophomore and junior year students respectively, to help them make a wise choice. Social Interaction Sessions: We organize various events all year round, ranging from Coffee Sessions, where one can discuss everything academic with a reliable senior, to Freshers’ and Farewell Party, where one dances as if it’s the Judgement Day.
