What is unique about Cause Entertainment? Its business model is to create a platform across investments in different media and entertainment verticals, in opportunities which have the capability to entertain, be a change agent for large-scale social action, and also be commercially viable. We give great importance to the distribution plan and commercial viability/fund management of each of its projects. Our belief is that while organizations, media, and policy makers are doing reasonable work to use the power of the medium for social change, there is a lack of focus on (a) exploring each project's penetration potential via the use of a good marketing and distribution network (b) evaluating the ability of each project as a good investment, and (c) cross-leveraging it across different verticals. Almost without exception, social communication has been driven from the perspective of educational or health or social change promoters. Cause Entertainment approaches this in reverse – that is, social communication using entertainment as fundamentally business savvy, creative discourse.
