Il Sentiero International Campus is an Industrial Research Centre in the field of Surface and Reliability Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Jointing Technologies, Design and Prototyping. Il Sentiero is the partner for the Advanced Mechanics industry. This includes all those sectors, even different from one another, where interactions occur between the surfaces of materials, components, products and the external environment. These sectors can benefit from the application of innovative solutions in terms of process-product system thanks to the reduction of friction, the functionalisation of surfaces, the application of new material treatments and coatings, the study of corrosion and tribology. The activities of Il Sentiero are aimed at companies that need to increase the quality, performance and environmental friendliness of their products and to cut production costs.
