Gordon Henrich, founder, started his pipe relationship in the 70's working with civil engineering firms designing municipal piping systems. Gord became a PVC pipe rep in the mid 80’s and by the early 90's, the term Trenchless Technology emerged while he was pipe bursting laterals in Waterloo. By mid 90's Gord was sliplining Lamson large diameter PVC pipe, recognizing the need for accurate pipe assessments. For the next 10 years, the inspection focus grew, working with RedZone Robotics for wastewater, and Pressure Pipe Inspection Company (PPIC) on the water supply side. In 2008, Pipeline Integrity Technology Associates (PITA) became a specialty consultant focused on large diameter water and wastewater pipeline market with robotic inspection, repair and monitoring technologies for condition based asset management. Working with contractors on site has enabled PITA to become more of a practical consultant with the abilities to draw from vast experience with emerging and proven technologies to ensure the right technology is used for the right applications and a fair price. PITA’s purpose is “Providing Infrastructure Technology Applications” to achieve system sustainability minimizing environmental, social, and financial impacts.
