Utilization of Nueva Ecija's agricultural waste will provide significant additional income to the local farming and host communities reducing poverty and stimulating agricultural production. Electricity to be sold under the Philippines Renewable Energy Act through the Renewable Energy Bill's Feed-in-Tarrif and theVisayas Grid via WESM. The GPNEPI is now fully permitted (including Board of Investments Registration, Environmental Compliance Certificate, Department of Energy endorsement). The company owns their project site and the main equipment has now been bid and is under final evaluation by GPNEPI Owners Engineers - Poyry Energy Inc. GPNEPI's first 17.5 MW Biomass Power Plant is targeted to be fully operational by Q3 2011
