The NCUS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of Sonographers for the betterment of healthcare for all on a local level. The purpose of the North Carolina Ultrasound Society shall be to advance the development of personnel involved in the diagnostic application of ultrasound in health care by providing an opportunity for continuing education to personnel involved in the diagnostic application of ultrasound in health care and by operating exclusively for education and scientific purposes as a non-profit society. The NCUS holds two meetings each year, a 3-day symposium in the Spring and a 1-day Virtual symposium in the Fall.
