My Allied Health Academy
www.myalliedhealthacademy.comMAHA is a DWY (done-with-you) online learning program intended for Allied health professionals in their first 5 years of practice who are struggling to find the mindset that drives a successful practice. Our research has identified what is important to you, what motivates you most and which areas of your life you want to make the most impact? Surveying many senior and younger practitioners over my 30-year career they tell me work-life balance if their #1 priority. Working the right number of hours and days and mitigating stress and burn-out The general message to allied health students is, “you’re not going to be wealthy in this profession. It’s more about the love for the job”. Therefore, practitioners say, making a financial impact is last on their list. The next message is, you will need to work long hours and cope with the stress of managing patients in sometimes, complex situations. The result is a practitioner who’s priority is to support their own health and wellbeing and that means standing up for their work-life balance. This is closely followed by a yearning for mentorship and inspiration to fuel their passion for their work which is in turn underpinned by wanting clinical acknowledge from their peers and senior clinicians. As these needs and wants are fulfilled the allied health practitioner wants to make an even bigger impact by dedicating time and energy to community projects and lastly, ensuring they are paid according to their perceived worth. MAHA is a powerful community of like-minded allied health professionals who are aligned with these core motivators. MAHA is about supporting people helping people. An understanding that relationship is foundational to achieving the best clinical outcomes. MAHA offers an easy-access PC or phone program with 3 learning pathways depending on your needs. To find out more, follow us or PM and we’ll send you a prospectus. Andrew Arnold, Founder: My Allied Health Academy
