The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Vancouver Chapter connects you with other business analysts in the Lower Mainland and beyond. As a member of the Chapter, you get discounted prices to our events, workshops and certification study sessions. The IIBA Vancouver Chapter started in 2005 with a small number of members. We were very excited to celebrate our 15th anniversary in 2020. Our Mission is to: • Advance the role of the business analyst as a recognized professional, • Encourage knowledge sharing and networking opportunities with fellow business analysis professionals across a range of industries and companies, • Offer a variety of events using a variety of mediums including: Lunch 'n Learns, Study Sessions, Webinars, Guest Speaker Presentations, and Networking & Social Events • Provide access to forums and discussion groups relating to the business analysis profession to provide members an opportunity to develop professionally through formal and informal means • Provide access to information relating to certification and also to training programs relating to the business analysis profession, • Obtain and sustain a level of financial security, sustainability and autonomy at the chapter level. Governance: The Chapter is run by a Board of Directors who are elected by Chapter members at the Annual General Meeting. The Board is made up of volunteers who believe in the Mission of the IIBA and the Chapter and promoting the role of the business analyst as a recognized profession. The Board meets on a regular basis to not only strategize and take care of general business but also to plan events, discuss guest speakers, review the certification process, and coordinate conference participation.
