Julie & Ken set up Woods & Byrne with a simple mission to create luxury handcrafted accessories from the finest quality ingredients and materials. They believe that the simple act of lighting a candle can transform both a place and a person. Julie, a registered nurse, and a complementary therapist has been studying the power of plants, flowers, and tree energy for over 20 years. She’s been intrigued by the therapeutic power of essences and oils and how they can transform daily life. So, she began honing her craft in blending pure essential oils and fragrances. Ken has worked in finance for many years but found that it didn’t allow any space for his creative side. More importantly, it didn’t provide the balance necessary for a healthy life. So, he began working with leather, precious metals, and stained-glass crafts. Designing and creating goods from natural sources, both Julie and Ken soon found the sense of well-being and personal accomplishment they both craved. Craft, creativity, and curiosity changed their lives. Now the whole family can work and create together, including their daughter, Olivia. In 2018, Julie and Ken decided to combine their skills, and started crafting handmade accessories together. Courses, extensive research, and working with consultants fed this interest, until finally, in 2019 Woods & Byrne was born. Woods & Byrne launched their first collections of luxury handcrafted accessories in November 2020.
