We are a UK Charity dedicated to creating forests and removing carbon from the atmosphere, with breakthrough science. Focused on natural solutions, we started with a question. ‘How do you maximise the carbon sequestered in a forest?’ This led to many discussions and much debate with woodland experts, government organisations and leading scientists. Conversations that helped shape our mission: to create forests and accelerate carbon removal, with breakthrough science. Our planting and restoration projects are designed, together with world leading scientists, to learn more about how to accelerate carbon sequestration. We are committed to sharing our findings as widely as possible to increase carbon removal in our own projects and beyond. Our first major field trial will be announced in May 2021. We create forests for carbon and always will. Our forests will take a minimum 35 years to reach adolescence, and the charity structure ensures that the trees, soil and biodiversity that they support, will be proactively managed for generations.
